Im a sophmore and ran my first under 5 mile at 4:59.89.

Short-Term Running Goals:

My goal is to get under 4:55 my first season.

I want to get below a 4:30 in high school and try for a scholarship.

I also want to run cross country this year.

Run a half marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Get under a 4:30 mile.

I want to run a marathon

Personal:

This is my first year running track, and so far like it alot. I like running longer distances so am going to do xc.  I have played piano for 7 years now. I also have played soccer my whole life. I still play soccer for fun on the side, but track comes first. I am 15 years old and have 4 brothers, no sisters. I have 2 dogs one named bella, and the other Bruno. I get good grades in school and have a current cumulative of 3.962

Ran 6 miles with my coach and 3 teamates.

Did a little shorter run then yesterday with skyler and a few other teamates.

Ran a mile for a warm up. Then did five 400 meter runs at a 72 second splits with 2 minute breaks in between, and the last one I did it in 67 seconds. With a mile cool down after.

Did the best buy loops which is 6 1/2 miles with skyler. Felt really good today, and had a good run. Pushed it hard the last mile.

Had a soccer game today, played good! Went running about 2 hours later for a quick jog. Ran 2.5 miles up fortstreet, and the last mile pushed it harder.

That's sweet man. I'm just a couple years out of high school. I wished I could've gotten my mile time down in the 4:30s but didn't quite make it. I PRed Senior year at 4:43, but I didn't run track until Junior year. With good training and healthy eating habits you can definitely get that time down in the 4:40s or lower by your junior year and in the 4:30s senior year.

Today was pretty tough. Did a 2 mile warm up, then went to the track doing two 400's at 61 and 64 seconds. Then did two 200's at 31 second splits.  Then a mile cool down.

My daughter is on the Riverton soccer team (fall) and she runs track (spring). I wish she would give up soccer and do cross country, but she has to do what she wants to do!

Ran the mile today. Wish i ran it faster, i think i could of. Ran it in 5 minutes flat. I needed to be more mentally in it and i led the first two laps and started out too fast.

Did the 3200 (2 miles) today. I felt really good! only second time running it and i ran it in 10:53. I stayed in it mentally and had a really good kick at the end. I think i could of stayed with the 2 kids in the front, but im very happy with my time.

What does "going to nome" mean? Garrett is doing a workout on the track today around noon if you want to join him.
